A 10% participation goal was set for minority-owned businesses and a 5% participation goal was set for women-owned businesses.

 

 

Promote the utilization of the City of Durham’s Small Disadvantage Business Enterprise’s (SDBE’s) for all City of Durham projects with Balfour Beatty Construction and North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Disadvantage Business Enterprise’s (DBE’s) for the Durham Station Transportation Center.

 

 

Proactive Procurement and Recruitment:

Balfour Beatty Construction will recruit more DBE/SDBE’s into participating on projects by hosting project information sessions in the Durham area. A list of qualified DBE/SDBE’s will be provided at pre-bid meetings for prime contractors. Bid documents will be made available for review at several locations in the Durham, RTP area.
