DURHAM STATION - 30% City of Durham Residents HIRING PARAMETERS
The following metrics will be adhered to in relation to hiring City of Durham residents:
Hiring needs for project:
1-50 individuals = 50% City of Durham residents hired
51-100 individuals = 40% City of Durham residents hired
101 or more individuals = 30% City of Durham residents hired
We anticipate that at least 101 individuals will be hired for the Durham station construction project, therefore a hiring goal of 30% City of Durham residents has been set by the City’s Economic and Workforce Development Department.
Balfour Beatty Construction agrees to include a 5% Goal of hiring unskilled local/City of Durham residents. Balfour Beatty Construction further agree to a goal of one half of the 5% will be targeted as low income youth aged 18-21 years of age, as identified by the Department of Economic and Workforce Development for the City of Durham. These workers can be in the employment of any sub contractor or associate including SDBE. This percentage is over the duration of the project.
